Wallet Security Checklist
A step-by-step checklist for Solana holders reviewing their wallet setup and daily security habits.
Use this checklist to review your current Solana wallet arrangement. Work through each section at your own pace. If any item raises questions, our consultations provide guided walkthroughs.

Section 1: Seed Phrase & Key Storage
Confirm you have written down or stamped your full recovery phrase. Partial backups cannot restore your wallet.
Can you read every word clearly? Faded ink, water damage, or stamping errors cause recovery failures.
Store at least two copies in separate physical locations to protect against fire, theft, or single-point loss.
Screenshots, cloud notes, and email drafts are vulnerable to sync leaks and account breaches.
Section 2: Wallet Configuration
Your wallet app password should differ from your email and banking passwords.
Face ID or fingerprint adds a layer against casual device access.
Keep long-term assets on a hardware wallet; use hot wallets only for active trading amounts.
Section 3: Daily Habits
Avoid clicking links from social media or direct messages when connecting your wallet.
Expand instruction details before signing. Reject anything you cannot explain.
Revoke permissions for dApps you no longer use. See our approvals guide for steps.
Section 4: Incident Preparedness
Save official support URLs for your wallet software. Support staff never ask for your seed phrase.
Write down which wallets hold what (without recording seed phrases) so you or a trusted person can navigate your setup in an emergency.
